The black represents the darkness of sin-filled lives without Christ. We were all born into this darkened world of sin but Jesus can set us free. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The red represents the blood that Jesus Christ shed for us at Calvary, the blood that washed away all of our sins. And He said unto them, For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:28).
The white is reflective of God’s purity and the purity we can have in Jesus Christ. It also reflects the change Jesus made in our lives. Hellfighters were once hellbound sinners clothed in garments of sinful flesh but now we are Heaven-bound Saints clothed in garments of purity. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;(Isaiah 1:18b).
The gold represents the riches we have through our Lord Jesus Christ; the ability to live a life free from the sentence of sin, a life that honors our Lord, and at the end of this life to be given the privilege to live in Heaven and walk upon the street of gold. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every gate was of one pearl and the street of the city was pure gold, as if it were transparent glass(Revelation 21:21).
Collectively, our three piece patch represents the One whom all Hellfighters serve; His name is Jesus. The name above all names. The name at which every knee shall bow. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10,11).
